The Islamic College of Sport is proud to celebrate Year 11 student Noura Abdul Qader, who recently travelled to Adelaide to represent the Victoria Women’s Second XI against South Australia.
Noura was named in Victoria’s 13-player squad for two One Day matches, stepping into a high-performance program that connects the state’s emerging talent with the senior pathway and the Women’s National Cricket League (WNCL).
She made an immediate impact on debut, scoring an impressive 54 runs from just 42 balls, including seven fours and a six. Her innings helped Victoria secure a five-wicket victory and capped off a memorable first appearance at this level.
The opportunity marks another exciting step in Noura’s progression through the Victorian cricket pathway. She has already built an impressive junior record, including being named Player of the Championships at the Under-16 Female National Championships and representing Victoria Metro across multiple age groups.
Now competing with the Victoria Women’s Second XI, Noura continues to challenge herself against stronger competition as she works towards the highest levels of the game.
Her success reflects the dedication she brings to her cricket, her High Performance training at ICS and her studies in the classroom.
